Why the things we leave behind are important

People throughout history are collectors of “things.”  Sometimes these artifacts are all that are left of a life gone by.  Sometimes these artifacts seem innocuous at first.  Other times, their extraordinary nature belies the history behind them.  But, all of these artifacts provide an all too real connection to the people who valued them.
