The acquisition of items is an integral part of the human experience. From the time man first chipped away at a rock to make the first tools, we have depended on things to make our lives easier and give them meaning. The concept for The Things We Leave Behind came about when I realized the items in my militaria collection told a story!
About the Historian/Author:
Collecting antiques since he was a child, Brock Lusk’s love for history was stoked during his freshman History class at Clemson University. Having abandoned engineering for the only major that not only allowed lying, cheating, and stealing but actively encouraged it (Political Science), History 101 changed his life. His third change in major’s was his last and he graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in History.
After serving in the U.S. Air Force (both Active Duty and Reserve), Brock returned to Clemson University to complete a Master’s of Arts Degree in History. He graduated in May 2015.
